Valparaiso Nazarene Church is devoted to helping people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. To accomplish this goal we are encouraging everyone to find ways to connect, grow and serve.

Why is it important for me to serve?

1 John 3:16-18 says, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for one another. If any one of you has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in you? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."

How can I serve?

We encourage everyone to serve in two ways. The first way to serve is within the church. There are many was you can serve within the church. Depending upon your interests, abilities and availability, we can help find a place for you to serve within the church. The second way we encourage you to serve is outside of the church. Find a way to serve others in your neighborhood and community.
