I am the Children's Department Coordinator, nursery director and MOPPETS director. I have been married to Shawn Evans since 1992, and we have two children, Kara Anne, age 13, and Jake, age 7. I was born and raised in Alabama and am a loyal University of Alabama football fan! I attended and graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 1994. My family moved to Valparaiso in 1996 when Shawn was hired as the youth pastor at VNC. After attending VNC for ten years and volunteering in youth and music ministry, I was hired to work in the children's department.
