My family and I visited VNC in 2000 and immediately knew we'd found a home. The spirit of God was evident in the worship, teaching, youth programs, and sincerity of staff and congregation. During one service, Pastor Tanner challenged the congregation to pray that "God would stretch them in ways they never thought possible." I prayed that prayer, and life has been anything but boring or anything short of amazing since then. At first I felt like a rubber band that was being stretched only to be shot out into never-never land. Then I realized that God wouldn't stretch me only to shoot me off and abandon me.

In 2004, I was offered a staff position in the children's department. I currently am the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade children's pastor.

I live in LaPorte with my husband, Bob, and our three daughters. Natalie is a student at Ball State University, and twins, Emily and Rachel, are students at LaPorte High School. Our home is ruled by an overly-energetic german-short-hair pointer named "Son" and a spoiled cat named "Juanita." As a family, we love to travel, camp, and spend time outdoors.

My newest hobby is running and triathlons. I may not be fast, but I am determined.
