In January of 1989, I accepted the position of Secretary at Valparaiso Nazarene Church. It's hard to believe that when I started here we had one worship service that averaged 350 people and four full-time staff members (Senior Pastor, Youth Pastor, Secretary & Custodian). The office equipment consisted of a Selectric Typewriter and small copier that wanted to jump off the table every time you made a copy. Wow has God moved in our church and blessed us greatly! My job title and responsibilities have changed many times throughout the years. Today my responsibilities include overseeing the Office and Facility Staff, tracking the budget, keeping the website calendar updated, creating the Worship Center media package, and what I refer to as the "X" factor -anything extra that needs to be done! I feel very fortunate that God chose to use an ordinary person like me!

Married to Ron since 1984, we have two beautiful children, Alicia and Andrew. In 2004 we had a new wonderful addition to our family when Alicia married Greg Johnson. Greg and Alicia live in the Boone Grove area. Alicia and I love to spend Saturday mornings going to garage sales and looking for a great deal! Andrew is in high school and loves to play soccer and computer games. He has desperately tried to help his mom get better at playing Wii Mario Cart, but he hasn't been successful, yet! When I'm not working I enjoy reading a good novel in the sun, swimming, biking and fishing.

I am very blessed to have a wonderful family and a job that I love.
