God used Girl's Night Out to give me some direction. I'm serious! In the process of catching up with several friends they found out I was looking for a new job. Sandy Strilich, who works in maintenance at VNC, was at Girl's Night Out and told me there was a secretarial opening at VNC. Even though my family and I attend another church, I feel privileged to have been allowed to serve our Lord at VNC beginning in May 2004.
No two days are ever the same in the front office! My responsibilities for answering the phones, typing the bulletin, and updating the prayer chain are done in between a variety of other requests that are made from other staff, from VNC people and from people within our community. Although some days can be hectic, I enjoy the environment at VNC. God is honored and I love being a part of that.
I have been married to my husband, Dave, since 1982. We have a daughter, Kristin, and a son, Nicolas. Both our children are in college at Purdue. We live in the country and enjoy watching and listening to wildlife. I enjoy reading, scrapbooking and drawing, but most of all I enjoy having my family gathered around the table to enjoy a meal together. Those times are a treasure.
